The cultural distance between black and white america seems higher than that between white america and most of the world (including africa I suspect). If black america were a separate country, wonder what its nearest cultural distance neighbors would be? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hofstede%

Considered as a separate nation, black america is pretty much unique in the world. There's no other nation like it in both highly positive and highly negative ways. It's a bit like Japan. A sort of n=1 set that's a universe unto itself.

I hate to make the standard "disaggregate the data" move, but even Kenan Thompson knows that, sadly and ironically, certain segments of white and black America have a lot in common. youtube.com/watch?v=O7VaXl

Has anyone actually studied this? It seems like one of the rare things related to racial differences that could be studied without kicking up a storm, as long as you don't try to interpret the results.
