He does talk a bit in SITG about "learning through pain" and implies the futility of trying to avoid failure but his focus (and blather) does not bring your specific point, which I think is postponing the pain in the learning process. 1/2

If I understand correctly your failure debt is closer to technical debt. It seems useful to then delve into which kinds of failure must/must not be postponed, at what stage etc. 2/2
