Update: fox news crew security guard, former special forces, disarmed the protestor who had taken the AR-15 out of a parked cop car and was shooting it

1) Our guard is former special forces. He is not a police officer.
2) He acted on his own, after getting our crew to safety around a building.
3) We watched the first AR-15 be pulled from a cruiser, then ran along with many others as the protester fired it into the cruiser.

I believe some of the protestors started pulling weapons out of the back of a police vehicle and then a guy (plainclothes police?) ran over and took the weapons away.

Maybe like the 1999 Seattle WTO protest- there is something seething. Any excuse will do for riots.
There will likely be riots in Portland too.
I think you needed 40M unemployed and massive inequality in wealth and justice as the tinder- then any spark would do.

As I explained on air, our security guard felt that the public was in danger. He took the AR 15 from the rioter and disabled it. We called 911 and waited to hand it over and continue our reporting. Protesters surrounded us, calling us police. (1/2) twitter.com/BrandiKruse/st…

Possibly private security for the news crew. Kudos to him for quickly taking action and unloading the assault rifle
