Did a little tour of the DTLA destruction. Our block had a vandalized/looted Paris Baguette How do you eat pastries with glass shards in them? The Shake Shack next door had graffiti.

On the next block, CVS had pretty heavy vandalism. All the glass broken. Dunno if they went in. Whole Foods on the other side had minor damage.

On 6th and Spring the Starbucks where it started is fully boarded up. Lots of other damaged store fronts.

At least 2-3 jewelry stores. Plus another Starbucks.

In our little tour of the 4x4 blocks near us, I counted at least a dozen vandalized stores with much more graffiti. The amazing thing is just how rapidly the repair crews are out sweeping up, cleaning up the graffiti, replacing glass. Capitalism is quick with band-aids at least.

There's a chain of cafes in Singapore (left) called "Paris Baguette Cafe", which I always laughed at because you'll surely never find "Paris Baguette Cafe" in Paris – I assumed it was a local brand
I was startled to find it in Berkeley, CA as well (right) and so I got curious
