Thiel is IMO an overrated figure. A minor nobleman strutting about the world stage, not a history maker.
This doesn’t compute. It’s easy to see a dark age coming, and plenty in foundation did, which is why Seldon was able to get the encyclopediasts project going. What makes a foundation is estimating the dark age length and taking on the challenge of radically shortening it.
