True fact: if you divide a complex evolving thing into named “phases” it means you’re in control of it. “Levels” and “stages” also work.

First pass model of what’s going to happen to the businesses. Two waves of existential risk: 1-6 months, for companies with comorbidities, then 18mo to 3y for businesses whose exit pivot model is bad. Tried to identify core activity for each of 4 phases, and 3 biz size regimes.

Lol I was thinking of Trump admin “phases” of corona response. Kegan stages aren’t too bad since they aren’t bureaucratic.

The benefit to levels and stages is that you can call it a Maturity Model, so in addition to being in control, you can look down on those at lower levels.

What if you can combine all three so that each phase has stages, and each stage has levels? How does that impact our control of the situation?

the good part is that also as everyone knows phases and stages and levels have bosses that you can beat
