VR feels particularly lonely in a last-man-on-earth way. Especially realist games like The Room (where you’re solving a Mummy mystery with sarcophagi, Egyptian artifacts etc). That game would be much nicer with a team.

Also rewatched black mirror USS Callister game. Can’t wait for a proper Star Trek type game. Space cadet was too much silly FPSing.

Also need a proper voice-responsive game. Everything I’ve played has text cues and music but so far haven’t found one where you can talk to game world characters. Can’t be that hard to rig Alexa level voice AI in.

Another thing... this is not a casual instant immersion thing. Definitely not like picking up a phone and tapping twitter open. It’s a destination thing. You go there and then leave. If we ever get brain interfaces though... wow.

Quest has just enough friction it’s not naturally addictive. It’s like going to the gym. I think it takes developing the habit for addiction to kick in.
