Lest anyone think this is hyperbole: https://www.cleveland.com/business/2009/03/have_a_dollar_you_can_a_house.html … Why? Cost of repairs often exceeds the value of a repaired home in that neighborhood. Hard to turn a profit on that.

If someone actually offers to sell you their house for $3.50, you are probably buying a vacant lot in an undesirable location plus cost of demolition/debris removal plus property taxes & liability Also 99% chance someone has already gone through and removed all the copper piping
