How is the art world doing? On the one hand, it is everybody's default idea of non-essential stuff that can/should be cut in a crisis. Otoh, art is often close to money/power (cf Kennedy center) and particularly friendly to going highly virtual to survive

was startled to discover Guggenheim’s first museum for his art collection opened in 1939.

Art and architecture worlds are doing poorly, they’re not structured to weather a crisis like this: too couched and unimaginative, if you will. I think the structural shift will be violent enough to provoke an upswing of high art in small places, but there’s no market for it.
