You don’t even have to buy into prosocial avoid-infecting-others/flatten-the-curve beliefs. Simple fear of getting infected yourself should be enough to avoid this.

Depends who's doing the "wanting", no? Employees desiring a return to gainful employment are frequently driven by more basic desires than upholding capitalism.
