Reading Pale Rider now, haven't read the others, so I can't compare, but it's good. About a third of the way through. Strength is more in interesting anecdotes than any big picture takeaways/conceptual frameworks.

Have you already read The Great Influenza? amzn.to/2XevtUm I really enjoyed its discussion of how it shaped medical policy going forward and how the greatest momentum was caused when the children of rich people died.
