I've heard of people looking at The Walking Dead increasingly as the unrealistic nonsense it is, rather than continuing to labor under the misanthropic delusion that people will always turn on each other in an emergency.

I think entertainment that stressed "bad virus has R_0 = 50+ and kills immediately" seem cringy, since even R_0~2 sucks, and the slow and not-kill-too-many nature of COVID-19 makes it more sinister. It's like actually being dominated by a conman IRL vs seeing obv. ones on TV.

Me, no. But I've seen people comment that they feel weird about seeing normal crowd, handshaking, social interaction kinds of scenes now. I guess for some it feels like a different, naive era of the past, at least for the time being.
