Thought of “please secure your own mask before assisting others”
Weird idea: there’s 100s of grounded planes. All have O2 supply masks in every seat. Can they be used as respiratory distress triage? Relieve hypoxia a bit surely, even if it’s a very low pressure flow?

Not an entirely far-fetched idea!
Seeing that at least a couple of other 'non-invasive respiratory devices,' including home CPAP machines and oxygen generators, are being authorized as emergency alternatives to ventilators, for instance ... fiercebiotech.com/medtech/fda-au

They provide oxygen but not enough pressure to push it down to the lungs like a ventilator does

The O2 generator canisters are actually a fire hazard due to O2 produced from a chemical reaction that has to run its course, it's not a compressed bottle you turn on and off.
