I’m guessing 10 more weeks before we see the first signs of economy reboot. This is going to get really brutal. I’m not seeing any historical comparable for what we’re headed for. Not WW2, not the Great Depression, not the Spanish Flu. This is a totally sui generis cataclysm.

The closest domestic thing I see is a New Deal style approach. But conditions are completely different, so who knows. What are your thoughts are small/medium sized business ownership long term? Seems major ownership consolidation is upon us.

Big business is learning a lot now. From being agile & lean. To customer behaviors, etc. Some say smaller businesses have an edge and will outlast this better that others. But that edge is growing less unique by the day with this forced learning period, let alone normal tech dev

I think the moving will help overall in reducing total costs. Social ties have kept people where they are because they value family/friends over economics. This shock will break that up, redistributing demand and costs out. Expensive is less competitive in the global economy

Parallel to all this is likely a kind of collective survivors’ guilt and that will be a really hard thing to cope with and very difficult to see people go through in its various manifestations. I’m preparing for seeing this in many people.
