So one thing I’m not getting is what use is being made of the time bought by social distancing and lockdowns? You have basic flatten the curve effects, and accelerated manufacture of PPE, tests,ventilators, setting up of surge/spillover facilities... what else?

Clinical trials hopefully. What we really need though is a federal task force focused not on the current response now but how to try to open up in 3 months.
