I think there’s a big story on the non-financial economy. What are you doing that’s keeping the economy spinning without activity being routed through the financial system? The thing I hate most about this situation is the the degree to which everything routes through dollars.

What's weird, is businesses could sell gift certificates to you at say 50% of the usual price, so you win if they survive, and now it's basically the stock market.

I moved maybe $1000 over the last few weeks in to weird (for me) relationships and services and things that have long term, non cash value. Mostly to band-aid as you say, and a fe because it felt prudent or even useful.
