Had to ask my balcony neighbors to turn it down. Wife thinks I’m the one being the asshole (“when did you turn into the asshole neighbor, was it when you turned 40?”). But then she’s a perma-music type and Strategic Music Limitation Talks (SMULT) are core of our marriage detente.

Fully agree with you - I've thought of having a coffee shop that shines a really bright light / annoying directional speaker (LRAD style) at anyone who does this. People doing sales calls in a cafe - what the fuck are you thinking?!?!?
