it's worth reading up on. they're called 'corona' because they have a delicate capsule which looks like a solar corona. means they aerosolize well (bad) but fall apart pretty quickly (good)

I mean, that's not the only variable in play. Mail is handled often a few hours before you pick it up. Amount of it matters (eg if it's an infected mail person). I've also heard of different estimates for survival rates on cardboard, upto 4-6 days.
