Which means what in this context? Isn’t that primarily relevant as a measure for when the immune system is fighting the virus, but not totally successfully, so there is something of a stasis? I don’t see how it’s relevant to my point.

I don’t get this. It seems to ignore precisely the point about exponential growth. It’s only 20 doublings for 1 virus particle to become a million. Isn’t that what they do inside a cell before it lyses? With a generation time of 20 min or less? What am I missing?
