slack isn't good for asynchronous IMHO. it's more of a tool that allows you to turn your own problems into other people's distractions, and investment into threads is not rewarded later, it's a bit of a graveyard after the moment passes

I sometimes feel like if you dropped slack and just invested into a tool like confluence and actually built a knowledge graph, a lot of that thinking wouldn't hvae gone to waste, and it would be of a genuine asynchronous workflow that allowed people to take things at their pace
