Time for some game theory and strategerypic.twitter.com/73HSIDrbFi
I know I want to very deliberately shift my income mix away from consulting and towards writing+research over the next decade, but one thing I’m ambivalent about is teaching. I’ve enjoyed the experiments I’ve done via teachable, but not sure if/how it fits.
Education, writing, and research are stereotypically intertwined in academia. If you just need an excuse, there it is.
I don’t need excuses since there’s nobody I have to justify anything to and nobody is expecting anything of me anyway
I need actual good reasons to do it/not do it
Do it: Education helps the next generation take on work you want to pass on. Even if it's disjunct with what you now do, it's objectively good to do.
Don't: If you're not happy with finding an excuse to do it, you probably don't want to.
(Good reasons, or your money back.
