UW flu study in Seattle that detected this first already does mail-in operations I believe. For resilience right now though, local drive-up testing capacity is likely more critical than a fragile centralized capacity dependent on mail.
Not really thinking about it as a centralized service, but rather have the whole internet infra setup with the help of OSS community and the rest of mailing and detection delegate it to local systems

My main concrn has been people getting scared and while trying to get tests getting infected, although I don't have data to substantiate this as a valid fear
