This sort of shit has happened way too often in my life. Like once every 7-10 years. I could do with a couple of serenely peaceful decades just living a simple life in my mansion. It used to feel macabrely exciting the first couple of times.

History is way over-rated. Too much history happens. And post end-of-history history is the worst because it is so damn meaningless.

I'm gonna try and do an objective metric of narrative collapse events and plot them to see if they've been increasing in frequency or something.

if a unit of history is a hist (let's say 9/11 was 1000 hists), then probably the average human can only tolerate about 20,000 hists in a lifetime before deciding there's way too much shit and check out and retreat under a rock. I might be at 15,000 hists so far.

It does seem like it’s coming at a higher frequency. And with that comes increasing precariousness.
