Any large old org with a significant fraction of senior management above 60 should be running succession planning drills rn. Run simulations with a randomly selected 10% presumed critically incapacitated or dead. This is basically Iran government atm.

I don't even want to think of the behind the back stuff going on in a company with 2 heads. Alphas despise other alphas, because they all think they're the only 'real' alpha. In theory i tend to agree with you, in practice i see quite a few problems with this approach.

Not talking about 2 heads. More like clearly designated main and backup. Like CFO is backup CMO and CMO is backup CFO.
