Yes. Several times.
Most recently, quit a lucrative gig in tech consulting to build .
Sold the cafe 3 years later. (Thank god!)

About a year ago, I left Khan Academy, where I was doing edtech R&D, roughly to start an experimental media studio with . (e.g. numinous.productions/ttft/)

Dropped out of college to party non-stop. Then went on a few year term of national community service in the US. Traveled the country and volunteered, provided disaster relief, helped veterans, the homeless, low-income children. Came back to college a different person.
