Same. You can’t detect what you don’t know exists, so you attribute the sickness to closest known entity, i.e. a “really bad flu”.

Yep +1, and +10 on the numbers only reflecting testing rate, not really infection rate. We saw the 'hidden' community spread in WA on a localized level. Extremely likely that same thing happened worldwide.

I came to this decision earlier today as well. Given how maximally connected we are, how presumably contagious the Wuhan is... it seems highly unlikely to have it sit isolated for so long. I presume it is everywhere and has been since January.
