"Due to long-time staying at home, the underlying conflicts might emerge and result in impulsive divorces... We received some divorce appointments and they regretted it later... Young couples even decided to remarry when their divorce certificate is printing."

I'm worried about the second-order effects on many seniors. When the CFR is above 10% for their demographic, they won't be leaving their homes for lengthly periods of time. The loneliness epidemic will become even more brutal.https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/06/health/coronavirus-older-people-social-distancing/index.html …

TW. Late last month, in Chongqing, an elderly man fell from the 10th story of his apartment building to his death. The first responder's rescue air cushion was not yet inflated. The video is heartbreaking and disturbing to watch.pic.twitter.com/iXj3o2z3TO

In this video captured from inside the apartment before his fall, more context is added. The man wishes to see his grandson, but has been locked up in his apartment during the epidemic. I use the word fall & not jump because there are signs of dementia.pic.twitter.com/idVqAkx8KM

In another video, a visibly distraught & upset elderly woman in a high-rise says she feels as if she is in jail. These are stories & circumstances unique to China, but the psychological toll of quarantines and social distancing will appear globally.https://twitter.com/jenniferatntd/status/1231623953095020553?s=20 …

I don't know if I am doing those stories justice, or if I am failing to correctly and appropriate capture them, but I feel as though they are deeply important moments of this pandemic that will be buried if I don't share them. Their pain will never be captured in the numbers.
