This is coherent. My position is that: - There is a need to “address the contradictions” to prevent the large-scale backsliding you fear. - New ideology almost always presents as a revival of an existing form. Mont Perlin’s mythos was that they were “rediscovering” liberalism.
Most of the issues that need addressing lie in financialization/ managerialism, the stuff @EpsilonTheory covers. The underlying infrastructure of the material economy is basically fine modulo climate. Good hardware and trade plumbing, bad [financial] software running on it.
