It depends on what you mean by “localist”, and “globalist”.

I think there are 2 different things people mean when they say “globalism”: №1: free movement of individuals (regardless of citizenship, and state borders). №2: a world government. And I think there are many individuals who are a fan of just one of these (but not the other).

I think of globalist not in a totalizing sense, but of bridging different worlds. Sometimes that means crossing the Earth, sometimes it's just crossing the street.
