I think of globalist not in a totalizing sense, but of bridging different worlds. Sometimes that means crossing the Earth, sometimes it's just crossing the street.

Where I've lived in the US (NY, NJ, now SC) and where I lived (and am looking to return to) in Japan feel important to me, even though Japan was only 18mo plus 10y of language learning. Am I answering in far mode if I put "global"? What does a near-global person look like?
