There is another similar phrase, one to which I come back just as often as to Gibson’s and more often than to Kay’s and it’s in ‘How to get startup ideas’: “Live in the future, then build what’s missing.”

Which, of course, is about how once you’re privileged enough to experience the future in the present you can basically just start inventing stuff naturally within that future.
And the second one is about the somewhat boring and irresolvable issue of privilege.
