Not made any truly expensive $ mistakes thankfully, but time mistakes, yeah. I regret almost all the time I’ve spent on commissioned business writing, for business/marketing type gigs. Wasn’t fun, probably made my real writing worse.

Spending $4000 up front turning a book into an audiobook before I knew enough about the publishing industry to understand whether I'd make my money back on it Spoiler: I didn't, I think made maybe 1/5 of my total publishing costs back on that book.

I don't actually regret this a TON because you have to learn somehow but it probably wins for the mistake I regret most at the intersection of expensive and regret I have lots of financially cheap mistakes I regret a lot
