If you need to work for others to pay your bills, the former. If you don't, the latter, e.g., how to fix the problem that under capitalism, someone needs to give you some form of credit before you are even allowed to become a productive member of society.

Better Escapism sounds like a valid Real Problem (I don’t think you can completely isolate escapism from having underlying motives to escape from something), but the opposite transformation (of Real Problems necessarily being escapism) seems like it would be much less likely.
