Procrastination on accepting $ is usually an indicator that underlying real transaction is still illegible to you and you’re delaying to introspect on what you’re really selling to whom, under what expectations. Very healthy. It’s how you avoid unwanted commitments.

I’ve occasionally been reluctant even on finished gigs. A couple of times, for smaller things, I’ve not charged for time despite a contract because something felt off about the dealing and it felt better to let it drop
