YouTube is now my biggest blindspot ahead of podcasts. Can’t stand any of the examples in this thread.

The information density is like watching paint dry. Or I guess watching young people grow up in near real time.

I guess I had to hit my new media adoption limit sometime. Most of the little I watch on YouTube is just clips of movies/TV to share or how-to videos for household chores just-in-time. I’ve watched almost zero original-to-YouTube entertainment content.

I would give tiktok a try honestly- my youtube coverage is very lacking& one dimensional because it takes so long to diversify, tiktok on the other hand is easy to find your niche within after 1week of exposure (the info density is also much higher & i suspect generally ur speed)

Youtube is such a bad vehicle for information. An ever-changing business model, uneven content control, limited presentation tools. Their desired audience is unsupervised 12-year-olds. For good youtube channels, you can use a background player app to listen like podcasts.
