Like seriously
Even airports, once the heart of neoliberal homogeneity
Even airports within a region, like SFO vs SJC

It’s partly a case of “every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way”
Every city, sometimes every neighborhood, embodies an unhappinesd with postmodernity by breaking down in a unique way.

Even every starbucks is now differently miserable in its own way.

SFO is weirdly full of premium mediocre shops. Been a while since I flew out of here since I usually do SJC now. For eg “harvest market” with like 15 brands of weird artisan chocolate etc.

There’s not 1 but 2 coffee robot machines. Wonder if they make better coffee than... coffee machines. Is it like juicers-quality coffee?

Are they? I feel like every starbucks I've been too, even in different countries and states, has been almost the exact same.
