A book by a friend is like a tourist spot in your own country or city. Short-term tourists are more likely to go there because you think you could go anytime and don’t prioritize it. With a book, you might not properly read it because you can just talk to them.

Same with @eyecheng Emissaries Guide. Speed-skimmed it a year or so ago, but then started collaborating so easier to just chat about stuff. Now reading properly for the first time.
