Do we know yet how bad the regular cold/flu season (minus Wuhan Coronavirus) has been and how effective the vaccine was? Anecdotally I feel it was much worse than normal. What’s a good source on this? Didn’t find anything yet from CDC.

gis.cdc.gov/grasp/fluview/
% of hospitalisations for ILI (influenza-like-illnesses)
a bad year is +7% which is where we're at. 2017-18 season was one of the worst since 2009-10 (the swine flu season)
don't have a good handle on vaccine effectiveness until the end of the season

My personal experience has been the same. Went to the pharmacy today the line was a-crossed the store. cdc.gov/flu/weekly/ind Data is not especially easy to parse.
