If news media started reporting on stories the way I do blogchains (series of updates as the story evolves) with an option to follow the story over its natural lifecycle, I think it would basically solve all the quality problems people complain about.

I guess products like storify tried to arbitrage this opportunity but it was limited value given that the raw stuff was not meant for update-driven evolution and the curation itself was high noise. It’s an original and curatorial editorial labor problem. Not a tech problem.
