fascinating the gossip and venting I've received after putting in my 2 weeks

3 other people (incl. one of the upper management) on the verge of quitting
apparently the crazy owners have been "planning" to get out of day to day operations for 2 years and just...won't

2 other people have brought up feeling "yanked around" and "infantilized" by the lady owner
"walking on eggshells" around her husband, the other owner

the mistakes were due to a hasty decision wrt the plant shutdown over the week of Christmas (which, again, people were only told about 1.5 weeks in advance and forced to use vacation if they wanted paid...

in the meantime 3 different coworkers including the CFO have offered, unprompted, to act as references for me

CFO has sent 2 detailed positive-feedback emails to me regarding the work I've been doing to wrap up my time here
and passive-aggressively cc'ed Crazy Owner Boss on both
Crazy Owner Boss has not exchanged a single. word. with me since I put my notice in

I think
I am just really grateful to get some validation about the way I was perceiving the dynamics here
especially the feeling infantalized thing, which I felt from the beginning but chalked up to my own neuroses

This is my favorite office politics story of 2020 so far. Astounding how much of a shitshow bad owner-managers can create.
