For people > ~15 years away from a given option, there isn't a thoughtful objective reason to differentiate between that option and the next. That is to say, for people < 75, 90 and 100 might as well be the same option.

Not at all. You know your recent family's genetic history, you know your lifestyle (past, present, presumably future). You can make an educated guess. If you know the averages and expect to be below, above, or well above them...

It would have been 80 or 90 maybe five years ago. The change is seeing my parents generation die of cancer at 60-70, and general pessimism about progress

Multiple 90+ relatives on both sides, like a Heinlein novel. When I was a kid I thought no one went grey until their 70s. No one knows the future but I like my chances.
