Meh, I've been through a few such cycles. Brand equity++ is overrated. At most you get an ebook and a couple of expenses-only speaking gigs. Anything more requires investing further...airport book, workshop, trend reports... fads are way more manufactured than people realize

Not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about the vgr brand. And I wouldn’t change a thing in terms of what you’re actually already doing to build it (including believing you’re not building it)

Oh I know I'm doing it. I just don't believe it's as valuable as marketers seem to think. The value of brand equity, esp in media, has been in steady decline for a couple of decades due to aggregator effects. Masked by the rare black swan brands. Old media vets are in denial :D
