You’re the worst Broad City ... Can’t actually list all the shows since I don’t watch the genre but there have been a lot I think What are the other big ones?

This Wikipedia page is really bad. Most of the examples are off. Seinfeld is not cringe comedy for eg.

Someone said in a podcast today that comedy gains popularity in rough times, and drama gains popularity in easy times. Not sure what kind of times increase cringe comedy specifically.

Hmm. I don’t know about that. Seems like both are strong at all times with different people. I watch comedy at all times, drama almost never.

Yes! My theory... those in their 20s, 30s seem to like it, but I just can't get it.

Decker: Unclassified episode 2, The New Recruits, is kind of the pinnacle of this genre IMO. Captures our zeitgeist beautifully and the episodes are very short. Splits my sides every time but I love cringe and antihumor, which is closely related.

This might just be due to a general increase in content over the past few years. More cringe comedy because there's more stuff
