You’d think there’d be a test for psychological fragility based on a scale like this. My own threshold for “life sucks and the universe hates me” swings wildly between 5/100 trivialities and true 80+/100 crises depending on how depressed/cheerful anomic/purposeful I’m feeling.

What is the most trivial event that would drain your resilience and make you go “life sucks and universe hates me”? And how would you objectively rate it on a scale of 1-100 where 1 is a paper cut and 100 is say an aggressive terminal cancer diagnosis? Eg: “lost phone, 15/100”

That mat be 1 variable, and if so info workers would generally be more fragile. I think recent history of accumulating stressors is the big one, without sufficient recovery time, a 1000 paper cuts add up
