If you get mad or offended when someone makes fun of what you find interesting and a part of your identity..that’s when you find out you are too attached to a group and need to reassess I’d it’s worth being a part of it or is it just peer pressure to belong.

I’ve found permanent self categorization limits my growth, it’s too final. When I become attached to any social/identity scene, I stop and ask why? To what end am I self-identifying and what is this scene motivated by? I learn what I can and try to keep moving.

Probably a function of my life stage, at 34 I’m not yet eager to stop searching.
