What is the difference between progressivism and liberalism?
-
In the US progressivism is basically welfare-state socialism but short of communism. Liberalism used to be social liberal/economic conservative with focus on pluralistic values and moderation/tolerance. Now it's increasingly become allied with conservatism in the US.
