with interesting Q's, if they're in the right headspace for being distracted with something fun, everyone gets to enjoy it. being a good-faith nerdsniper is very powerful. it might be abt 30-40% of my twitter game
but basically anybody I would trust to do lossy compression for me is overqualified for the job, and is busy doing much more important and lucrative things
actually this also partially explains how/why I enjoy my life so much despite not really having a lot of money – because I get to enjoy things that even people with 3-4x more money than me don't get to enjoy. This is close to the most valuable insight I possess
yeah I'm operating with the assumption that this is true. it's already about 30%-ish "solved", I expect to solve at least 80% of it this year, and I think by next year I will be freed up to take on much more interesting and exciting problems
No, being sufficiently interesting is (against most people’s intuitions) a professional skill sufficient to run a business on.
(Most models for it are terrible but if you’re sufficiently interesting you can trade that for better models, too ;) )
