What’s more 30% more cringe than American corporate new year entertainment? Chinese corporate new year entertainment. Also featuring a bunch of visiting Americans from Dayton doing the YMCA dance

Documentary highlights how unions are at once a bizarre dinosaur construct and also apparently the onlynidea on the table for certain challenges Deep irony in a corporation from an actual communist nation fighting unions in America
Worth noting that it was an independent documentary that the Obama's picked up after it screened at Sundance. UAW is an interesting thread to follow through the film. Especially in contrast to the Chinese factory's "workers union" headed by the chairman's brother.
Totally agree with the recommendation, if just to observe the impact of globalization and culture clash of a Chinese company entering the US.
The last scene where they are walking through the new robots and how they replaced several people was a doozy
Sounds amazing.
Decent documentary. Felt like they could have cut it down to 45 min vs ~110 min. The thanksgiving scene where the American worker was teaching the Chinese workers to shoot guns at Thanksgiving was peak rural Ohio. Without spoiling, I was surprised by the final stats on FGA.
