63/ they’re basically small, pre-soaped steel wool pads. it takes a lot of scrubbing but they *will* take the orangeish stains and baked on black crud off of pans

64/ ive had mixed success using them on my other pots and pans, i feel like they rubbed the shiny surface off of my favorite pot

65/ most cleaning supplies (scrubbers and cleaners) will tell you to test it out on a “small, inconspicuous spot” before using everywhere. this is solid advice, as my pot shows :’(

66/ i wash most of my dishes by hand because i lived in NYC without a dishwasher for a very long time, but dishwashers are very nice and handy things to have

67/ if you do use a dishwasher, always put your plastic stuff on the top rack; the heat from the washer at the bottom will really fuck it up

68/ in general, it’s best not to use plastic in the kitchen. especially not anything with BPA in it, as it leaches into your food. i like glass containers for food storage (though they all have plastic lids) 😥

i never sort my silverware, they just all go into the same big drawer. it's the user's responsibility to pick out the right one!!
