Friend once pointed out that “health” is 3 things that are in tension: athleticism, longevity, and health qua health (as in freedom from disease and low risk for stuff like heart disease). Pursuing any of the 3 aggressively tends to compromise the other 2.
I think even if you could it’s a bad idea for most people. I just have a cold now but I am pretty sure I made it worse by working out.

If you’re already healthy and with a strong immune system, you can risk it. But otherwise it’s probably unwise to work out even with cold symptoms.

Agreed, my wife is more susceptible to colds/flu and working out when starting to feel sick makes things worse for her but for me it seems to help. Very case by case.
