I will admit I hate doing handyman shit now. Used to be proud to be able to do basic stuff as a teenager but jeez it’s high effort, low (psychological) reward. I’d get bored to tears if I had to do full time handyman work like minor maintenance and repairs in a building all day.

I think best is to pay someone to do it- which brings the time efficiency, and then feel comfortable to inquire about its complexities while they deftly execute.

I often find abstraction exhausting, though. That, and the process of interacting with markets to hire somebody to do something is awful. Communal division of labour is great though. I run a boss house meeting but haven’t touched our lighting or internet in forever.
